IDR is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join an onsite opportunity in Houston, Texas. This role is integral to leading organic social content and community engagement for a portfolio of retail brands within the energy and utilities sector. The company is focused on transforming social storytelling to be impactful, platform-native, and aligned with business goals.
Position Overview for the Social Media Specialist:
- Lead organic social content strategy aligned with brand and business priorities.
- Manage social content creation from ideation to publication, including briefing, approvals, and scheduling.
- Develop and oversee the organic and paid social media content calendar across multiple platforms.
- Lead community engagement by monitoring comments and messages to foster trust and loyalty.
- Continuously analyze social media performance metrics and recommend optimizations.
Requirements for the Social Media Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, content development, or community management
- Proven ability to set creative strategy informed by performance insights and audience behavior
- Strong understanding of native social platforms: Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube
- Hands-on experience with social media management tools, including publishing, analytics, moderation, and listening tools
